I was recently fortunate enough to have a conversation with Bret Weinstein and my pureblood sister-in-arms Jordan Karr on the Darkhorse podcast. We got to cover a lot of ground, but Bret brought something up that I wanted to expand upon a little bit. He stated that it seems like the system is gearing up for something in its apparent focus on compliance above all else, and that we don’t want to find out what. I agree wholeheartedly on the compliance front, but I think applying John Carter’s system vs. conspiracy framework and Michael McConkey’s “right wing Marxism” provide quite a bit of depth and nuance, especially when combined.
Basically, everyone from the incompetent member of the credentialed class1 to oligarchs like George Soros and Bill Gates share a common interest with respect to desiring systems that force compliance, even if their motivations aren’t necessarily aligned in any other way. For those whose livelihoods depend on the system and those who aim to exert influence on the system, widespread compliance is the most savory of features.
For both the idiot physician who can’t convince their patients to comply with their terrible advice and the idiot Bill Gates who can’t convince 100% of the global population that they need to be vaccinated against SARS-CoV2, the idea of forcing compliance is alluring. This is why there is widespread support for coercive measures to enforce compliance for those aligned with the system2. This is the force that coordinates these efforts across space and time and circumstance. It is a system of conspiracies, where many individuals and groups of individuals benefit from the ability to force people to do things they wouldn’t do otherwise. It is related to the widespread assumption amongst those who consider themselves “elite” that they are so much smarter and better educated than us lesser humans.
A Cut Above the Rest
I should also point out here that many who fall into this camp consider us lesser humans to be outside their moral community, and as such, undeserving of the dignity and respect that they deserve. The idea that someone might force them to do something they wouldn’t agree to is unthinkable, and this state of affairs is not perceived as hypocrisy because they are convinced that they are special. In fact, when the proles notice blatant hypocrisy exhibited by their betters, the elite aren’t ever embarrassed because they relish in this recognition by their inferiors. Engaging in this behavior without consequence proves that they are, in fact, superior. This was originally crystalized for me when I read this article by N.S. Lyons. (h/t to Malenkiy Scot who identified this article as I was previously under the impression it was something I ran into on Bad Cattitude).
A Vast Array of Motivations
To not shy away from examining some of the potential motivations that drive this lust for compliance I’ll share some broad general categories that I believe these globohomos may fall into:
Anyone who enjoys a standard of living that exceeds what we might expect in a free market (material beneficiaries of coercion/cooperation)3
Those infected by the Malthusian mind virus (ideology that predicts ecological collapse, many of those afflicted believe this collapse can be forestalled by dirigistic efforts of a scientific-technocratic elite with coercion/nudging being an essential component)
Those animated by the ideology of managerial liberalism while afflicted with an unconstrained worldview (ideology that assumes inequality is solely the result of socialization/systems of oppression, that, if dismantled, will allow the creation of new systems capable of perfecting the human condition/eliminating inequality)
The common theme here is that anyone who benefits materially from coercion, or holds an ideology that suggests coercion is necessary to achieve optimal ends will necessarily conspire to promote a system that selects for compliance above all other traits in accordance with their own self-interest. Since globohomos have varying degrees of self-awareness, many might not even be aware of why they are so disgusted with those who fail to comply with the system. Some know exactly what is going on and exactly what they are doing. We could call them all evil, and perhaps the latter more so than the former, but I personally don’t differentiate. They are all enemies and must be stopped by any means available under the constitution. Fortunately, this can be as easy as not complying in many cases. Note that these folks can fall into more than one of these categories (and often do) and range from elementary school teachers to billionaires. These categories are not meant to be all inclusive. Can you think of others? If so, drop them in the comments!
The Other Side
As I try to emphasize with this publication, there is an existential battle ongoing between these globohomos and Americans. Americans understand that cooperation is always preferable to coercion, and the really ideological among us (such as myself) believe that coercion isn’t ever a morally acceptable way to achieve your desired ends. I’ll probably write an article on the non-aggression principle (NAP) and Americanism soon. For now, suffice it to say that I think a particular application of the NAP provides a valuable way of conceiving of one fundamental difference between Americans and globohomos.
Closing Thoughts
The lust for compliance on the part of individuals with poor character is what makes a powerful state so dangerous. The state is essentially institutionalized coercion, so globohomo will of course focus efforts on capturing it so that they may wield coercion in a manner that is widely regarded as legitimate. I’ll expand upon these ideas later, I just wanted to articulate how John Carter’s system of conspiracies paradigm might explain why it seems like there is a massive coordinated effort to force people all over the West to comply with things against their will.4 I don’t think it is an effort to destroy anything per se, but to centralize control over society towards particular ends that require coercion in the perverse minds of globohomo. There are many people who believe that they might benefit from such centralization and globalization. They are of course economic ignoramuses that would doom Western civilization to complete destruction should they be met with unlimited success, but again, that is another story for another time. Until then, stay radical!
Anyone who’s livelihood depends on a state monopoly of licensure. Think physicians, attorneys, and psychotherapists who wouldn’t be able to maintain a consistent client base if those without professional credentials were allowed to compete with them in a free market.
I like to call them globohomo, but many names are appropriate (managerial class, scientific-technocratic elite, loyal subjects of the Globalist American Empire etc.)
Midwits to use Michael Malice’s term for which I propose this as a suitable definition
Because it is, just not necessarily directed by only a Bill Gates or a George Soros. Class interest conspires with highly variable individual motivations to select for the one thing that benefits them all - compliance of the masses with the whims of the “experts”
Everything about globohomo and the woke requires coercion, coercion requires force, and cancel culture is that force. Why did the CDC just vote unanimously to recommend the Covid jab for babies? Mostly it is to eliminate all liability. But also, if you aren't unanimous in all things mRNA jab, you don't work for, associate with or get funding from CDC, FDA, NIH. That is both coercion and force.
I don't have much sympathy now though, for the argument that "I just need to get to retirement, but the benefits, my insurance, I have to feed my family, etc, now that they have tripled down on jabs for babies. You don't get to complain about the coercion and force preventing you from taking a stand once it starts looking like genocide.
Great stuff, Grant.
"These categories are not meant to be all inclusive. Can you think of others? If so, drop them in the comments!"
I can think of two others at the moment, that I believe are distinguishable from the rest.
4. The bribed and/or blackmailed: the targets of a sophisticated carrot-stick strategy, in which they come to believe everyone is caught in the same net, and the only way to free themselves and enjoy life's fruits is to retail ever more obvious and grandiose lies.
5. The posessed: in secular terms, I suppose you could see this as the victims of a certain trigger or switch being activated in the mind, after which the normal (i.e logical, inheritable) system of value is inverted, while still managing to reinforce a heroic self-image.
